HerbIma

- Venture Description: HerbIma turns indigenous Ethiopian Red Teff into Iron+, a plant-based iron supplement made with green bio-activation technology to be gentle on the stomach. It is designed to help women and adolescent girls manage anemia with a product that is culturally trusted and easier to stay on.
Tena Link

- Venture Description: Tena Link is a localized, multilingual, low-bandwidth digital health platform that brings trusted reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health information, counselling and community support to people across Ethiopia. Its culturally responsive content meets communities in the languages and contexts they live in.
AIMS brings high-level analytical and technical expertise to grassroots challenges.
Amani Health AI

- Representative: Nadine Cyizere Bisanukuli (Co-Founder)

- Venture Description: Amani Health AI is an offline, Kinyarwanda-first clinical co-pilot that gives Rwanda’s community health workers a second opinion on ambiguous and comorbid cases their national protocol was not built to cover. It runs on a basic Android phone, shows its reasoning and triggers referral when needed, so the health worker always makes the final call.
ALU’s venture brings immersive technology into the training of Africa’s future health workforce.
MediXR

- Venture Description: MediXR is an immersive virtual and augmented reality platform that gives medical students and practitioners across Africa unlimited hands-on practice in anatomy, surgical procedures and expert-recorded operations. AMREF’s ventures reach people at home, in communities and in clinics, spanning home care, eye health, maternal wellbeing, medicine access and climate-smart food systems.
Benevita Home Health Care

- Venture Description: Benevita delivers doctor-coordinated nursing, post-discharge recovery and elderly care directly to patients’ homes in Nairobi. Eco Afya Organics Ltd

- Venture Description: HerWellness is a women-focused physiotherapy and wellness clinic in Zambia offering specialized maternal, pelvic, postnatal and women’s health rehabilitation. It fills a specialist care gap and has grown steadily since opening in 2025.
HotSpot Aerial Solutions

- Venture Description: HotSpot Aerial Solutions uses drones and AI to pinpoint mosquito breeding sites in Kenya’s Lake region through its Maladrone application. Live, geo-referenced hotspot alerts reach local teams by USSD, so malaria control can target the exact places that matter.
MaggoCare

- Venture Description: MaggoCare is producing quality-controlled, medical-grade sterile larvae for maggot debridement therapy, a method that removes dead tissue, reduces bacteria and supports healing in chronic, hard-to-heal wounds.
