AHC partners are invited to contribute to the newly launched Frontiers in Medicine Article Collection, titled United in Partnership: Academic Collaborations for Primary Health Care Transformation.
The Africa Health Collaborative (AHC) is pleased to share an exciting opportunity for all AHC institutional partners to share original research, reviews, case studies, policy briefs, perspectives, and reflective pieces in a new article collection titled “United in Partnership: Academic Collaborations for Primary Health Care Transformation” by Frontiers in Medicine.
This special collection is being led by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the University of Cape Town (UCT), and the University of Toronto. It invites contributions that showcase how academic and professional partnerships—across North–South and South–South contexts are driving meaningful change in primary health care (PHC).
About the Collection
This call seeks manuscripts that highlight how academic and professional collaborations are advancing PHC through:
- Education: curriculum design, faculty development, interprofessional learning, continuing professional education, and innovative pedagogies
- Systems Strengthening: integrating education within health systems and improving professional practice environments
- Community Engagement: co-created approaches involving community, policy, and practice partners
Whether you are working on curriculum redesign, interprofessional training, faculty development, or community-focused projects, your stories and insights are welcome.
Who Should Submit
Submissions are open to all AHC institutional partners, including the Secretariat. Manuscripts co-authored with practice, policy, and community partners are highly encouraged and may address local, regional, or global contexts. We encourage all partners to consider contributing to this important body of work and to share widely within your networks.
