Communications Associate
Position Overview
The Communications Associate will play a key role in driving Africa Health Collaborative’s visibility and storytelling efforts. This individual will research priority health topics, engage partners and program leads, and develop high-quality written content across multiple platforms. They will also monitor performance metrics and support partners to ensure consistent, compelling messaging. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a creative eye, and a passion for impactful storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Content Creation
- Research key topics in the health sector, and audience preferences to inform content.
- Conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights for content creation.
- Write and edit high-quality articles, blog posts, press releases, and other materials to effectively communicate the organization’s message.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure content aligns with the brand voice and the Health Collaborative’s goals.
Communications Metrics
- Track and analyze marketing and communications performance metrics, including website traffic, and email open rates.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and accessing analytics data.
Collaboration and Support
- Assist in planning and executing communication campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects
- Support the development and maintenance of communication tools, including newsletters, presentations, and media kits.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Or a bachelor’s degree or HND in other fields with recognized certifications in communications, digital marketing, or content development.
Must-haves
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills with good attention to detail.
- Proven experience in content creation, copywriting, or similar roles.
- Familiarity with digital marketing metrics and tools such as Google Analytics,
- Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and email marketing software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.

Social Media Associate
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Associate to support day-to- day content creation, publishing, and engagement across Africa Health Collaborative’s social platforms. In this role, you will shape how our brand shows up online — from crafting engaging posts and visuals, to analyzing performance and building meaningful conversations with our community across Africa and beyond. You will collaborate closely with partners, program leads, and external agencies to produce high-quality, on-brand digital content.
The ideal candidate is a creative, digital-first storyteller with strong writing skills, a sharp eye for design, and a passion for using social media to drive impact.
Key Responsibilities
Tactical Execution
- Develop, implement, and manage social media tactics aligned with overall communications goals.
- Conduct thorough audience research and identify key demographics, interests, and online behavior.
- Plan and execute engaging content calendars across various social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp etc.).
- Stay informed about platform updates, algorithm changes and emerging social media trends.
Content Creation & Curation
- Create high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent content, including text
- posts, images, videos, infographics, stories, and live sessions.
- Adapt content for different platforms and target audiences.
- Source and curate relevant content from internal and external sources.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand and communications guidelines.
Community Management & Engagement
- Actively monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and direct messages.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online community.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using relevant tools and metrics.
- Identify key insights and trends to optimize strategies and improve results.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports for the Communications team.
- Conduct A/B testing on content and campaigns to maximize effectiveness.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with the Communications team,vendors and other partners to ensure brand consistency and integrated campaigns.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Or, a bachelor’s degree or HND in other fields with recognized certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or content development.
Must-haves
- Proven experience in social media management, content marketing, copywriting, or similar roles.
- Ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Demonstrated understanding of various social media platforms and best practices.
- Strong creative writing and research skills with good attention to detail..
- Strong visual eye
- Comfortable with platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other social media channels
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite,
