The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto (U of T) is a fully funded scholarship program for graduate studies at Canada’s leading institution of learning, discovery, and knowledge creation.
The University of Toronto is proud to be one of the world’s top research-intensive universities, driven to invent and innovate. Prospective scholars will develop their capacity and networks to engage in diverse healthcare professions and healthcare ecosystems in Africa. Upon completion of the program, it is expected that Scholars will return to their home countries and engage in self-employment or work in a range of health-related professions to advance the health outcomes within their countries upon completion.

The Master of Public Health in Occupational and Environmental Health program is a cornerstone in safeguarding both health and the environment.
This program aims to nurture Occupational Hygiene professionals capable of anticipating, identifying, assessing, and effectively managing health risks posed by hazardous materials, agents, and processes. While the primary focus is on the occupational environment, graduates gain versatile skills applicable in non-occupational settings within constructed environments.
Core themes include the comprehensive evaluation of exposures to hazards, the development of effective hazard controls, and the formulation of management strategies to optimize occupational health.
