The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto (U of T) is a fully funded scholarship program for graduate studies at Canada’s leading institution of learning, discovery, and knowledge creation.
The University of Toronto is proud to be one of the world’s top research-intensive universities, driven to invent and innovate. Prospective scholars will develop their capacity and networks to engage in diverse healthcare professions and healthcare ecosystems in Africa. Upon completion of the program, it is expected that Scholars will return to their home countries and engage in self-employment or work in a range of health-related professions to advance the health outcomes within their countries upon completion.

The MEng in Biomedical Engineering program focuses on the design and commercialization of biomedical devices.
Learners will have the opportunity to take on applied design challenges and meet the growing demands of this industry through coursework and hands-on practical experience.
One of the most unique and exciting components of the MEng Program is the opportunity to acquire practical experience and knowledge during a hands-on course. Commonly undertaken in the summer, this course is often carried out in industry, private consulting firms, hospitals, or government institutions. Students may also participate in design projects or work in academic labs to fulfill this course requirement.
