The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto (U of T) is a fully funded scholarship program for graduate studies at Canada’s leading institution of learning, discovery, and knowledge creation.
The University of Toronto is proud to be one of the world’s top research-intensive universities, driven to invent and innovate. Prospective scholars will develop their capacity and networks to engage in diverse healthcare professions and healthcare ecosystems in Africa. Upon completion of the program, it is expected that Scholars will return to their home countries and engage in self-employment or work in a range of health-related professions to advance the health outcomes within their countries upon completion.

The Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) program is an interdisciplinary and professionally focused degree offered through the Institute for Management & Innovation at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
MBiotech offers specializations in both Biopharmaceutical and Digital Health Technologies. This immersive 24-month program seamlessly integrates science and business courses, complemented by 8 to 12 months of paid industry work experience.
Since its inception in 2001, the MBiotech Program has been at the forefront of addressing industry needs through the training of highly skilled graduates. Our students undertake up to three consecutive work terms, collaborating with top employers in Ontario and beyond. These industry placements span pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, biofuels, and more.
